You
could
say
that
I
get
a
little
excited
when
it
comes
to
anything
pertaining
to
fishing.
Reports
of
goldfish
boiling
on
protein
flake
down
at
the
local
fishbowl
is
enough
to
get
my
heart
racing,
so
you
can
image
what
the
thought
of
tangling
with
huge
homeguard
San
Clemente
Yellowtail
was
doing
to
me.
When
I
get
the
urge
to
fish
San
Clemente
Island(Yeah
I
know
thats
all
the
time)
I
know
just
who
to
call.
Tom
Lee
and
Mike
Frank,
captains,
owners
and
operators
of
the
85'
Freedom
out
of
22nd
Street
Landing
in
San
Pedro,
are
the
masters
of
San
Clemente
Island
and
are
first
boat
I
look
to
when
planning
a
trip.
These
guys
spend
more
time
out
at
the
island
than
probably
all
the
other
local
overnight
boats
combined
and
this
local
knowledge
pays
off
big
for
the
Freedoms
many
customers.
The
Freedom
has
been
absolutely
slaying
them
this
year,
both
at
San
Clemente
and
Catalina
Island
and
lately
out
at
the
Cortez
Banks
on
special
1
1/2
day
trips.
Recent
reports
include
a
bluefin
tuna,
a
striped
Marlin
and
large
hauls
of
huge
mossback
yellows
in
the
fish
counts.
