Eastern Pacific Ocean — from British Columbia south to Baja California. Found around rocky reefs, kelp beds, and nearshore rocky structure in 5–150 feet. Named for the sharply pointed snout — more pointed than other seaperch species. Viviparous — gives birth to live young like all Pacific surfperch. Found in the same rocky reef environments as Kelp Rockfish.
