Rock Prickleback

Long, eel-like body with a dark olive-brown color and two distinctive dark stripes radiating from the eye. Adults reach 18–24 inches. Distinguished from Snake Prickleback by the characteristic eye stripes.\n\n

Occasionally taken from rocky shores and jetties on tiny baited hooks. More often encountered by tidepoolers and divers than anglers.
