Caught incidentally by deep-sea longline fisheries targeting Swordfish and Tuna. Also called "Snake Mackerel" and confused with Escolar. Often mislabeled as "butterfish" or "white tuna" in restaurants — the FDA has issued warnings about mislabeling.
