A Caribbean reef snapper most common in the Bahamas, Cuba, and throughout the Caribbean island chain. Less commonly encountered in Florida waters than Gray or Yellowtail Snapper.

Best Lures: Small jigs and soft plastics work effectively near structure.
Best Baits: Live and dead shrimp are the top bait. Small pieces of squid work consistently. Cut fish produce strikes. Small hooks with light fluorocarbon leader are appropriate.
