Goldentail Moray

Dark brown to purplish body covered with small yellow or gold spots, with a distinctive golden-yellow tail — the feature that gives it its name. Adults reach 24–30 inches.\n\n

Not targeted; taken incidentally near reef structure. A beautiful species frequently observed by snorkelers and divers.
