C-O sole

Named for the "C" and "O" shaped markings on the tail. Both eyes are on the right side. Brown to grayish with a pattern of rings and blotches. The body is nearly circular in outline. Adults average 10–14 inches.\n\n

Best Baits: Worms, shrimp, small squid strips.\n\n

Light tackle bottom fishing in bays and over sand flats. A fun panfish-sized flatfish.
