Bigmouth Sole

Flat body with both eyes on the left side. Brown to grayish-brown above, white below. As the name implies, the mouth is notably large relative to other soles. Adults average 10–18 inches.\n\n

Best Baits: Squid strips, cut anchovy, shrimp, worms.\n\n

Taken incidentally on light bottom rigs over sandy substrate. Not a primary target but fun on ultralight tackle.
