Bay Whiff

Left-eyed flatfish, brown with fine mottling. Small size — adults rarely exceed 8 inches. Similar to other small flatfish but with a distinctive dark blotch near the middle of the dorsal fin.\n\n

Best Baits: Small worm pieces, tiny squid strips, shrimp.\n\n

Taken on very light tackle with tiny hooks in shallow bay and estuary habitats. More of a curiosity catch than a targeted species.
